The American men's hockey team is in a pretty sweet spot now. After beating their biggest rivals, the Russians, yesterday in a fantastic overtime match, team USA beat Slovenia with a comfortable lead of four goals. America's Phil Kessel also had a hat trick, the first time a U.S. hockey player had one in the Olympics in over a decade. Slovenia only has seven ice rinks in the country and 200 registered senior players, so it wasn't exactly a surprising win for U.S. Still, the victory has secured U.S. a bye into the quarterfinals.
