Passengers will once again be allowed to use laptops on Kuwait Airways and Royal Jordanian flights to the United States, the airlines announced Sunday. The U.S. government imposed the laptop ban in March on direct flights from eight mainly Muslim countries over concerns that extremists could hide bombs inside electronic devices. Four other middle eastern airways were received exemption last week. Royal Jordanian said it implemented new security measures in line with U.S. Department of Homeland Security requirements while Kuwait Airlines said the ban was lifted after U.S. officials inspected the carrier's security measures.
