A C-17 U.S. military aircraft has brought the first round of American military aid to Liberia to fight ebola, the U.S. Embassy announced. The aircraft contained military personnel as well as some equipment. More supplies and more members of the military are expected to arrive over the next few days. Maj. Gen. Darryl Williams made it to Liberia on Tuesday and has been meeting with the country's officials. On Tuesday, President Obama had announced that the U.S. was sending 3,000 U.S. troops to the region. So far, the outbreak has killed more than 2,600 people in West Africa, with more than half the deaths coming in Liberia.
