The Pentagon and State Department have ordered that all military families leave multiple areas of Turkey, citing security concerns in the country. The move will impact about 670 people, most of whom are located at Incirlik Air Base. Though there are no reported "specific threats" in Turkey against Americans, the "changing security environment" and "potential increase" is apparently enough to warrant the relocation of military dependents. The departments claim they have been looking at the option to move military families from the regions for some time. The agencies also said that 287 personal pets will be flown out of Turkey at the same time.
