U.S. Officers Kill Civilians in Yemen

An American Special Operations commando and a CIA officer shot and killed two civilians in Yemen two weeks ago, U.S. officials admitted late Friday. The civilians were armed and attempting to kidnap the American officers in a barbershop. It remains unclear what the officers were doing there; some American officials said they were getting haircuts in the upscale district of Sana, perhaps in order to downplay the possibility that they were engaged in a clandestine operation. They two officers were rushed out of Yemen with the blessing of the country's government after the incident.
