The Karzai family’s dealings may be catching up with them. The Wall Street Journal says that federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York have opened a corruption probe of Mahmood Karzai, brother of Afghan President Hamid. Officials tell the Journal that they’re currently debating whether there’s enough evidence to bring charges of tax evasion, racketeering, or extortion against Mahmood, a U.S. citizen who splits his time between the suburbs of Baltimore, Dubai, and Kabul. "How many people do you think they have on me? Four, five, 10, 20?" Mr. Karzai said when reached for comment. "They won't find anything. I'm just a businessman."
