Less than two months into his new job as press secretary for Pennsylvania U.S. Rep. Tom Marino, Ryan Shucard was arrested after he tried to enter the congressional office where he works with an unlicensed firearm. Police discovered a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun and a magazine of ammunition on Shucard, who has since been placed on unpaid leave. “He’s a firearms owner in Virginia,” Marino’s chief of staff, Bill Tighe, said. “He forgot that he had it with him.”
