U.S. to EU: No Laptop Ban on States-Bound Flights

The U.S. on Tuesday decided not to introduce a ban on bringing laptops in carry-on bags on flights to Europe, according to Politico. “No ban,” an unnamed Commission official said. “Both sides have agreed to intensify technical talks and try to find a common solution.” U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, European Home Affairs Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos, and Transport Commissioner Violeta Bulc reportedly agreed upon the decision in an afternoon conference call.
