U.S. to Tighten European Visa Rules

For dual nationals of Iran, Iraq, Sudan, or Syria.

The Obama administration will unveil new visa requirements for European visitors who hold dual nationality with Iran, Iraq, Sudan, or Syria, or who have traveled to any of those countries within the last five years, the AP reported, citing officials and congressional aides involved in the discussions. The new rules, which could be introduced as early as Thursday, are designed to make it more difficult for Europeans who are involved with the ISIS terror group to enter the United States. The administration is planning to create exceptions for travelers who visited any of the four countries for government or UN work, or humanitarian or journalistic reasons, according to a congressional aide.
