The Salt Lake County District Attorney announced that he will reopen the investigation into the police shooting of 42-year-old James Dudley Barker who was killed after hitting a police officer with a snow shovel in January, 2015. The new video that has allegedly surfaced appears to show Barker on the ground when he was shot. The DA, Sim Gill, previously said the shooting was justified because Barker was allegedly reaching for the officer's gun.
