The burial of Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev appears to be legal, said the sheriff of Virginia’s Caroline County on Saturday. Tsarnaev was buried in rural Caroline County after spending weeks at a Worcester, Massachusetts, funeral parlor because no one would accept his body. The sheriff, Tony Lippa, said his county could not afford round-the-clock stakeouts such as the one they had to provide Friday night. A Virginian, Martha Mullen, intervened and found an Islamic Center that would bury Tsarnaev. Mullen told the Associated Press on Saturday that she has no regrets over her decision to help out, despite being “reviled and maligned.”
