Dutch suspect cites police intimidation in Peru.

Rule number one from the “How Not to Seem Innocent” playbook: change your story. Repeatedly. That seems to be the strategy for Joran van der Sloot, who has reportedly retracted his confession to the murder of Stephany Flores, citing intimidation during the interrogation process and a broken promise that he would be moved to his native Netherlands after a confession. Van der Sloot is also the primary suspect in the disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway in 2005, and has often given conflicting statements on his involvement with the case.
