V&A Museum Goes Medieval

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London will reopen with 10 new galleries comprising a medieval art wing. Rather than plague, war, and darkness, the revisionist collection conjures luxury and opulence, with jewels, extravagant garments, and riches on display. Of note are pieces by Donatello, Michelangelo, and notebooks belonging to Leonardo da Vinci. Many of the objects are being displayed for the first time, having been locked in storage for decades.
