Vet in Hospital Dies Awaiting Ambulance

A veteran died after collapsing in the cafeteria of a Veterans Affairs hopsital in Albuquerque because it took 30 minutes for an ambulance to arrive and take the man to the building next door—500 yards away. According to a VA spokeswoman, CPR was performed while they waited for the ambulance in accordance with policy. "Our policy is under expedited review," she added.
