You definitely don’t want to lose your new equipment like this: an Army veteran in Louisville, Kentucky, is suing the Department of Veterans Affairs for malpractice after hospital ice packs gave his penis frostbite, causing it to have to be partially amputated. But what’s worse: it was a brand-new penile implant, which the staff suffocated with non-stop ice treatment for 19 hours. The new penis got gangrene, and a five-inch section had to be removed. The department rejected the man’s claim a few months ago, forcing the 59-year-old vet to sue.
