Victim’s Mom Leaves Hernandez Trial

The mother of Odin Lloyd left the trial of Aaron Hernandez, who is accused of killing her son, after the prosecutor showed graphic images of Lloyd’s body. Crying, Ursula Ward left the courtroom for the second day in a row, prompted by pictures that show her son as he was found, “still and motionless” with “flies flying in and out of his nostrils,” as described by those who found it. Hernandez, who was cut from his $40 million contract with the New England Patriots after his arrest, faces life in prison if convicted. The case’s judge has allowed jurors to watch the Super Bowl as long as they “avoid anything to do with Mr. Hernandez.”
