Federal accident investigators have released the first images of the final underwater resting place for El Faro, the freighter that sank off the Bahamas last October during Hurricane Joaquin. Initial searches for the wreckage 15,000 feet below the surface located a missing deck, but not the ship’s “black box” data recorder. None of the remains of the 33 missing crewmen have been found, though one federal official said, “I think we found one boot.”
