In a video obtained by Sky News, Harvey Weinstein is shown fondling and hitting on a woman who claims the disgraced Hollywood producer raped her in his hotel room. Melissa Thompson, who is suing Weinstein as part of a class-action lawsuit, told Sky in an interview that she was “expecting a meeting with the marketing team,” but the video shows Weinstein meeting with Thompson alone. During the meeting, Weinstein makes several flirtatious statements to Thompson as she tries to make her pitch, including calling her “hot” and asking her if he’s “allowed to flirt with” her. “Let me have a little part of you. Give it to me,” Weinstein says at one point as the video shows him reaching down under the table. “It’s okay, would you like to do it some more?” Thompson claims that at that point he was running his “hand up her leg under her dress.” In the video, she then responds to Weinstein, “A little bit... a little high, that’s a little high, that’s a little high.” Thompson told Sky that she was not encouraging him in any way but was trying to “save face a bit [and] manage the situation.” “I didn’t want to blow the meeting,” she said. Hours later, she met Weinstein at his hotel lobby, where she claims he lured her into his hotel room and raped her. Weinstein denies any wrongdoing, and his lawyer claimed the video was edited to not fully reveal the “casual—if not awkward—flirting from both parties.”
