Vigils Held for Injured Iraq Vet

Thursday, protesters across the nation held vigils for the Iraq War veteran who allegedy fractured his skull at the Occupy Oakland protest. Scott Olsen reportedly woke up in the hospital after being hit in the head with a projectile. Meanwhile, since Sept. 24, the 99 percent movement has surpassed the Tea Party in search traffic, according to Google. The search engine also compared both movements’ peak traffic periods, and Occupy Wall Street won. Though this might be good news for the protesters, managing the movement is costing a lot for the cities being occupied. In New York City, police have racked up $3.4 million in overtime work costs alone.
