A Massachusetts man on a family outing to the Swift River in Massachusetts drowned while trying to save his wife and child. Police say Vincent Parr, 37, of Lawrence jumped into the water when his spouse and their child “became stuck in an area with fast moving water.” Parr was then caught by the current himself and could not be revived when bystanders pulled him out. His wife and child made it to the shore with no injury.
