As New York Fashion Week drew to a close yesterday, hundreds of fashionistas filtered out of the city’s hippest locales to sharpen their scissors and begin preparing for next year – or the next fashion week, which begins in London today.
From Lincoln Center to the Meatpacking District, scores of trendsetters and acolytes were eager to show off their style and their knowledge of the fashion game. In a world where it’s all about the next big thing, it’s important to never admit you don’t know about a new designer or trend.
Jimmy Kimmel’s Lie Witness News took full advantage of that fact yesterday, as they asked passersby for their opinions on fictional artists and made up trends. As always with Lie Witness segments, it’s a reminder to not take yourself too seriously – and that it’s okay to admit that there are things you don’t know about.
