It’s an exciting day for fans of little-known tech startup Apple, Inc. Today, the people that brought you the personal computer, the first mp3 player and a watch that tells you when it’s raining proudly introduce the iPhone 6. For just $200 with a two year contract – trust me, you want the contract – you can have a device unlike any other, except for the previous eight iterations.
One of the benefits of living in Australia, apart from the weather and uncommonly attractive people, is that thanks to the International Meridian Conference of 1884, your Apple store opens before the American ones. The Australian lad in this video took full advantage of that fact, and was the first in the proud city of Perth to get his hands on the 6.
As an added bonus, he got to unwrap it on live TV. I’m not sure it went how he or the reporter envisioned, though.
