Against the backdrop of Barrett boasting less violent crimes, the video's narrator says, "A 2-year-old spent six days in intensive care after being severely beaten. But Tom Barrett's police department didn't consider it a violent crime." The Wisconsin Professional Police Association--supporters of Barrett's gubernatorial campaign--have denounced the Walker ad, saying it makes "desperate, false statements designed to distract the public and corrupt the election."
