A mixed-martial arts fighter accused of savagely beating his ex-girlfriend this summer has attempted to commit suicide in a Las Vegas jail. Jonathan Koppenhaver, who goes by the name “War Machine” in his MMA fights, was found unresponsive with a sheet around his neck. He had left a suicide note. The MMA fighter is in detention after allegedly brutally beating Christy Mack and a male friend in August and then going on the run. He faces domestic battery and attempted murder charges.
