Was Cody Parkey’s Botched Field Goal Actually Tipped by an Eagles Player?
Chicago Bears fans came down hard on Parkey for what seemed like a straight up miss.

Chicago Bears fans unleashed their fury on Cody Parkey after his attempted game-winning field goal in the final seconds of NFL playoff against the Philadelphia Eagles did a shocking double doink off the posts—he was booed off the field and some diehards even started crowdfunding to buy out his contract. But on closer inspection, it seems that Parkey didn’t totally fluff his kick: It looks like it was tipped by Eagles defensive lineman Treyvon Hester, who changed the ball’s trajectory. Hester proudly displayed his hand to journalist Bo Wulf after the game, who tweeted a photo of it with the caption: “The Eagles are still alive thanks to the left hand of Treyvon Hester, who tipped Cody Parkey’s final kick.” The defending Super Bowl champions advanced in the NFL playoffs after Parkey’s failed 43-yard attempt, with the thrilling game ending 16-15.
