Still depressed by the Chicago Cubs’ loss to the Mets, Bill Murray managed to drag himself out of bed and make it to Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote his new movie Rock the Kasbah. Dressed for no discernable reason as a Victorian doll, the actor moped onto the stage, where New York native Kimmel would not let him move on from the loss.
Kimmel, who was also at the game, noted out that perhaps when Murray attempted to grace the Cubs by touching their lineup card for good luck, he actually jinxed his beloved team.
“Not only did you touch it, you rubbed it all over your body. Do you think that is why the Cubs lost last night?” he joked.
“I think we would’ve won,” Murray rebutted. “I was just wearing too many layers.”
