Game of Thrones’s hulking, skull-crushing behemoth the Mountain isn’t just another pretty Hollywood face – he’s the real deal. And not in the Rock’s “oil me up and let’s fake wrestle you guys” kind of way, either, but more of a “yeah, I just deadlifted 991 pounds” kind of way. That’s 35 cinder blocks, or almost the same weight as a right whale’s testicle, the most well endowed animal on the planet.
But Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson isn’t content with merely being a television star and the fourth strongest man in the world, or even with delighting, and terrifying, children by surprising them at their birthday parties dressed as the Hulk. Last weekend, he added a new notch to his sizable belt by crushing the Guinness World Record for lobbing a 33-pound beer keg 24-and-a-half feet. Watch the stunning feat of strength above.
