Just in case you need some inspiration to push your way back into the weekly grind, the United States Navy has posted a video of its Los Angeles-class attack submarine the USS Hartford resolutely powering its way through a thick Arctic ice sheet.
The Hartford is one of two subs – the USS Hampton is also on site – to arrive this week at Ice Camp Sargo, a temporary base set up on the frozen ocean’s ice sheet. They’ll be training sailors how to handle operation in extreme cold temperatures, as well as helping to gather environmental information.
