The world is a dangerous place, fraught with crime, terrorists, famine, disease, premature holiday decorations… Sometimes it seems like a miracle we make it through the day. So why not take a couple minutes to watch as a group of, um, “wise” owls encountering their own images for the first time in a front-facing camera and display?

Through all the self-discovery, these birds don’t for a moment drop their so-serious visages. Go ahead, watch it again. A gaggle of owls bobbing and weaving while wide-eyed with curiosity are everything you want and more from a minute and a half of pure animal Internet brain candy.
