With glimpses of Naomi Watts as Gretchen Carlson, the Fox News host who tanked Ailes’ career with sexual-harassment allegations.
Showtime on Tuesday morning debuted the first trailer for The Loudest Voice, its new mini-series about Roger Ailes and the rise of Fox News. The brief clip contains the first available footage of Russell Crowe’s performance as the right-wing cable-news mastermind, and includes glimpses of Ailes’ behind-the-scenes misconduct, including his sexual harassment of Fox & Friends host Gretchen Carlson (played by Naomi Watts). The series has a star-studded cast, including Crowe, Watts, Sienna Miller (as Ailes’ wife Elizabeth), and Seth MacFarlane (as former Fox PR chief Brian Lewis). According to the show’s IMDb page, actors have been cast in the roles of other key Fox News figures, including Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Brian Kilmeade, Steve Doocy, and the Murdoch sons.
