The newly opened Marriott in midtown Manhattan recently claimed the title of tallest hotel in North America, clocking in at 68 stories high. The dual-branded hotel will house both a Courtyard and a Residence Inn. The 750-foot building beats out the previous titleholder, the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, which totaled 727 feet, according to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
