Another deadly day in Gaza, where at least five Palestinian militants were killed on Tuesday. Two were shot after they snuck across the Israel border, and three more were killed in an Israeli airstrike after they fired rockets into Israel. Things could get even uglier Wednesday, when another ship will attempt to deliver aid to Gaza. Meanwhile, Egypt opened its border with Gaza Tuesday, something it has done sporadically since Hamas took control of Gaza. “The border will remain open for an unlimited time,” a source tells Reuters—a move which will allow Palestinians to cross into Egypt for supplies.
The various accounts of exactly what happened are still conflicting, but the Israeli army released this graphic footage of the raid to back up claims that the soldiers acted in self-defense.
