Jeb Stuart Magruder, a businessman who rose through the ranks of President Nixon’s White House and served prison time after the Watergate scandal, died on Sunday. The 79-year-old spent seven months imprisoned for lying about what he knew regarding the Watergate break-in. Magruder later said he had heard the president directly tell his campaign head to infiltrate the Democratic Party headquarters, a claim most historians don't believe. After the scandal, he became a minister and lived in Columbus, Ohio.
