The Weather Channel’s co-founder John Coleman died Saturday night at age 83, his wife Linda confirmed Monday. A meteorologist, Coleman helped launch the weather-focused network in 1981, and previously worked as Good Morning America’s first weatherman. Coleman drew controversy later in his career for expressing skepticism about anthropogenic climate change. He died in his Las Vegas home.
