Where there’s a Webb, there’s a way. Little-known pro golfer Webb Simpson captured the U.S. Open golf title on Sunday, charging back with a 68 in the final round to win his first major. Webb finished with a 1-over 281 for the tournament on the difficult Olympic Club course in San Francisco. Veterans Jim Furyk and Graeme McDowell couldn’t hold on to early leads they’ll held on Sunday, Webb waiting in the clubhouse as the final twosome finished just short of his posted score. Simpson is the 15th different major champion in golf’s last 15 big tournaments. Tiger Woods finished tied for 21st.
