Weinstein Company Denies Board Had Knowledge of New Allegations

The Weinstein Company is denying that its board of directors had any knowledge of the new allegations of sexual harassment and assault that surfaced Tuesday against Harvey Weinstein. “These alleged actions are antithetical to human decency,” the board said in a statement. “These allegations come as an utter surprise to the board. Any suggestion that the board had knowledge of this conduct is false.” They also pledged to cooperate with “all criminal or other investigations of these alleged acts.” The New Yorker and The New York Times reported Tuesday on new allegations of sexual assault and rape by the film producer.
