Wendi Murdoch Is a Gillibrand Supporter

Rupert Murdoch’s wife, Wendi, doesn’t necessarily agree with her husband on all matters political. While Rupert’s Fox News and other facets of the News Corp. empire are critical of Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, Wendi recently contributed $2,500 to Gillibrand’s reelection campaign. She’s also been supportive of other Democrats, donating $2,000 to Chuck Schumer in 2003 and $2,000 to the Democratic National Committee in 2009. These contributions don’t make her a full-blown liberal, however. Overall Mudorch mostly donates to Republicans, including Sens. Mitch McConnell, John Thune, and Ted Stevens and has pitched in to help the presidential campaigns of both George W. Bush and John McCain.
