Meek Mill has revealed his troubling experiences with Wendy Williams while living in the same building.
The rapper was neighbors with the star in 2023, and attested to her concerning state in a Twitter post on Wednesday.
“I used to think to myself like, why is Wendy Williams sitting in the lobby iced out alone in a daze‚” Mill wrote, quote-tweeting a TMZ interview clip of Williams crying over not being able to attend her dad’s birthday. “and it don’t look right when she getting picked up on god!”
In the post, Mill shared a photo of the former talk show host staring out of the building’s lobby window by herself.
Williams, 60, who is currently in a conservatorship due to her dementia diagnosis, has said she’s being held against her will and “isolated.”
In an interview with Charlamagne tha God in January, Williams and her niece, Alex, described her current living situation as a “prison.”
She lives in a high-security treatment facility in New York, where her room has a bed, chair, television and bathroom. She cannot receive phone calls but can make them, and she does not have a laptop, tablet or smartphone. She and her niece claimed that the only people Williams makes contact with are workers who bring her pills every day.
“I keep my door closed,” she said. “I watch TV, I listen to the radio, and I watch the window. I sit here as my life goes by.”
In November, her guardian Sabrina Morrissey wrote in a court filing that Williams was “cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated” from her battle with dementia, a diagnosis that the star rejects.
“Do I sound that way, goddamnit,” Williams said in the interview.
Williams also claimed that she cannot access her money, her items are in storage and that her guardian had sold her two cats and has had control of her phone with all of her contacts for three years.
“Let’s get her home,” wrote her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., 24, on an Instagram post about his mother in December. “She’s sober and wants to come home. We’re fighting to make that happen because isolation is killing her faster than anything else.”
