Wes Anderson Directs Beer Ad

Along with Roman Coppola.

What would Don Draper think? Popular hipster directors Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola have teamed up to direct a beer commercial for Stella Artois. The ad features a young actress fumbling with a secret switchboard in an apartment while her date is in the other room. “We were really happy to have Wes and Roman on board,” said Gustavo Sousa, creative director of the ad agency that produced it. “We wanted to set this brand and this film in a 1960s French film world and there’s a lot of that influence in Wes’ work. Also, Roman is a gadgets fanatic, so it was truly the best combination of talent to direct this commercial.”
