A Bichon Frise. An Old English Sheepdog. An American Foxhound. A German Wirehaired Pointer. A Portuguese Water Dog. Even a Smooth Fox Terrier. All were vanquished Tuesday night when an Affenpinscher was named Best in Show at the 137th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Before a howling crowd at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, the monkey-faced Banana Joe won the top dog title—and trotted off into the history books. Photographer Andy Jacobsohn covered the annual dog show from the benching room to the show ring. See photographs from the two-day show.
