GHOST GHIRLS

What: You remember Jack Black, the comedian who starred in School of Rock and Tropic Thunder and makes up one fourth of the rock band Tenacious D? Starring in the quirky Yahoo Web series Ghost Ghirls, Black will appear at Comic-Con on Thursday with his two co-stars, Amanda Lund and Maria Blasucci. The show follows the antics of two female best friends who are also professional ghost busters. Each episode follows the duo as they solve paranormal mysteries, convincing their clients (and often themselves) that they are indeed the real deal. The panel will broadcast episodes before they air online, and executive producer Black will join the show’s creators in an interactive panel, complete with Q&A from the audience.
SHERLOCK
When: Thursday, 2:15 to 3:15 p.m., Ballroom 20
What: Producers Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss, and Sue Vertue discuss the latest endeavors of Britain’s finest detective, Sherlock Holmes, and his anxious but faithful sidekick, Dr. John Watson. The PBS show, starring Star Trek Into Darkness’s Benedict Cumberbatch and The Hobbit’s Martin Freeman, will back on the air during the 2013–14 season.
ENDER’S GAME and DIVERGENT
When: Thursday, 3:50 to 4:50 p.m., Hall H
What: This panel offers a two-in-one exclusive look into the highly anticipated sci-fi venture Ender’s Game and details of the film adaptation of the Divergent trilogy. Summit Entertainment will show Ender’s Game fans a sneak peek at the award-winning novel’s adaptation and offer an all-star panel with its stars: Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, and Abigail Breslin, along with the film’s producer Roberto Orci and director Gavin Hood.
The second half of the panel will be filled by actors of the upcoming book-to-screen adaptation of Divergent: Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Miles Teller, Maggie Q, Ansel Elgort, Mekhi Phifer, Ben Lamb, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, and Christian Madsen, as well as novelist Veronica Roth and director Neil Burger. Fans will also get a first look at footage from the futuristic thriller.
DEXTER
When: Thursday, 6:45 to 7:45 p.m., Hall H
What: After eight seasons on the air, fans will say goodbye to their favorite multipersonality serial killer. KROQ radio station’s Ralph Garman will preside over a panel that includes producer and star Michael C. Hall; executive producers John Goldwyb, Sara Colleton, Scott Buck, and Manny Coto; and actors Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, and James Remar. Dexter airs Sundays on Showtime at 9 p.m.
HANNIBAL
When: Thursday, 6:45 to 7:45 p.m., Room 6A
What: Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller, pilot director David Slate, producer Martha De Laurentiis, and star Hugh Dancy will attempt to satisfy fans' appetites for Hannibal, the cannibalistic NBC offering. During the panel, behind the scenes footage and sneak peaks for the second season will be served. Bon appétit!
INTELLIGENCE
When: Thursday, 10 to 11 a.m., Ballroom 20
What: Lost’s Josh Holloway headlines along with Once Upon a Time’s Meghan Ory, CSI’s Marg Helgenberger, and executive producers Michael Seitzman, Rene Echvarria, and Tripp Vinson. The CBS thriller stars Holloway as Gabriel, an intelligence agent physically enhanced with a supercomputer microchip planted in his brain. He basically has Internet, Wi-Fi, a phone, satellite data, and more all stored away in the ol’ noggin. The cast and producers will present an exculsive viewing of the first episode and a panel discussion moderated by TV Guide’s editor in chief, Debra Birnbaum.
VERONICA MARS
When: Friday, 11:15 a.m. to noon, Hall H
What: In the Kickstarter account that broke the Internet, the hit television show of the early 2000s will make an appearance at Comic-Con, repping their soon-to-be motion picture. The film was funded by more than 90,000 fans of the television series and will star the original cast from the beloved show. Fans will have the chance to see footage from the film and ask questions to creator Rob Thomas and stars Kristen Bell, Francis Capra, Enrico Colantoni, Percy Daggs III, Jason Dohring, Ryan Hansen, Chris Lowell, Tina Majorino, and Krysten Ritter.
THE WALKING DEAD
When: Friday, 1:35 to 2:30 p.m., Hall H
What: Moderated by Chris Hardwick, AMC’s The Walking Dead panel will include series stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, David Morrissey, Scott Wilson, and Chad Coleman; showrunner Scott Gimple; producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, and Dave Alpert; and special-effects makeup supervisor Greg Nicotero. Fans will get a sneak peak of what to look forward to in Season 4, as well as a Q&A session and a sneak peak at the upcoming season.
AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

What: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is one of the most anticipated series for fall television, crafted by The Avengers mastermind Joss Whedon. Whedon himself, along with Marvel’s head of television, Jeph Loeb, and surprise guests, will reveal new info about their first live-action TV series.
GAME OF THRONES
When: Friday, 2:30 to 3:45 p.m., Hall H
What: Undoubtably one of the most anticipated, push-and-shove-for-an-inch-of-space gatherings at Comic-Con is, of course, HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones. This year, stars John Bradley, Emilia Clark, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Kit Harington, Rose Leslie, and Richard Madden will all be in attendance, along with producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Based on the fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire by Geroge R.R. Martin, the HBO adaptation concluded its third season in June. While fans have to wait about a year between seasons, the show will begin filming its fourth season this summer.
KICK-ASS 2 and RIDDICK
When: Friday, 12:15 to 1:15 pm, Hall H
What: Universal Pictures will bring two of their soon-to-be motion pictures to Comic-Con, the action-comedy sequel Kick-Ass 2, and the action-adventure flick, Riddick. Stars from the sequel will be in attendance along with Riddick’s star and producer Vin Diesel, as well as actors Katee Sackhoff and Dave Bautista. The film’s writer and director David Twohy will also be on hand.
THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES
When: Friday, 4:30 to TBD, Hall H
What: Bestselling author Cassandra Clare, the film’s director Harald Zwart, and stars Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Robert Sheehan, and Kevin Zegers will attend the Mortal Instruments panel, based on the worldwide bestselling series that revolves around a seemingly normal teenager (Lily Collins) who discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, i.e. a secret group of angel-like warriors who are meant to protect the earth from demons.
BATES MOTEL
When: Saturday, 10 to 11 a.m., Room 6A
What: The Psycho-inspired TV series has been renewed for a second season, and the cast (Vera Farmiga, Freddie Highmore, Max Thieriot, Olivia Cooke, and Nestor Carbonell) plus producers Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Kerry Ehrin (Parenthood), will all be in attendance. The A&E drama will release new footage from the seriesand discuss with fan’s the backstory and creation of the Psycho prequel. Season 2 of Bates Motel won’t premiere until 2014, but fans will have a chance to ask creators and cast about what lies in store.
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER

What: For the first time ever, the half-hour comedy show How I Met Your Mother will arrive at Comic-Con, boasting a panel filled with the show’s regular stars—Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris, and Alyson Hannigan, plus producers Carter Bays, Craig Thomas, and Pamela Fryman. The panel will feature footage from the show’s final season and a Q&A with the cast.
TRUE BLOOD
When: Saturday, 3:30 to 4:15 p.m., Ballroom 20
What: Sex. Vampires. Sex and vampires. There’s only one show on television that offers as much bloody sensuality as HBO’s True Blood. And lucky for its fans, the Emmy- and Golden Globe–nominated series will make an appearance during Comic-Con. Actors Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Ryan Skwanten, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Alexander Skarsgaard, and others could make an appearance, along with producers Brian Buckner and Alan Ball. The vampire series is based on the bestselling novels by Charlaine Harris and is in its sixth season.
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
When: Saturday, 4:30 to 5:15 p.m., Ballroom 20
What: All of your favorite vampires from the CW’s popular Vampire Diaries will spill blood together at Comic-Con 2013. Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, who recently split up as a real-life couple, will come together for the panel, along with Paul Wesley, Candice Accola, and Kat Graham. Producers and writers Julie Plec and Caroline Dries will also be attending.
I, FRANKENSTEIN and THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE
When: Saturday, 1:35 to 2:35 p.m., Hall H
Based on the graphic novel, I, Frankenstein stars Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) and Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck), who will both appear at the panel with the film’s writer and director Stuart Beattie and graphic-novel author Kevin Grevioux.
Alongside I, Frankenstein, Lionsgate will present the cast of the highly anticipated Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire. Fandango’s Dave Karger will moderate the all-star cast and offer yet-to-be-seen footage from both Hunger Games and I, Frankenstein.
BREAKING BAD
When: Sunday, 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Hall H
What: All bad things must end, or so says the promotional advertisements for the final season of AMC’s drug-addled series Breaking Bad. Stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, R.J. Mitte, and Bob Odenkirk, plus creator and executive producer Vince Gilligan, will be in attendance for their final Comic-Con appearance. Gilligan will discuss what it’s like to shoot the final episodes and how they are preparing for the series end. A one-on-one Q&A session will be held, and a sneak peak of the final eight episodes of Season 5 will be shown. Season 5 will begin Sunday night, August 11, at 9 p.m.
COMMUNITY
When: Sunday, 1:50 to 2:45 p.m., Hall H
What: Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong will be joined by producers Chris McKenna and Andy Bobrow and creator Dan Harmon at the Community panel Sunday. Fans will take part in a study group for the panel and Q&A session and see spoilers from its fifth season. The show will launch in broadcast syndication and on Comedy Central this September.
UNDER THE DOME
When: Sunday, 2:15 to 3:15 p.m., Room 6BCF
What: Comic-Con invites fans to go under the dome, and see Dean Norris, Mike Vogel, and Rachelle Lefevre and producers Beal Baer, Jack Bender, and Brian K. Vaughan discuss the show about a town that’s living in a bubble. Based on the bestselling Stephen King novel, the show centers around a town with many secrets, a town broken by democracy, and a town that must ultimately come together to find ways to survive among the chaos.
