Back in 1988, at the height of their powers, Angelenos Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, and Steven Adler were rocking stadiums and partying hard, earning the nickname “The Most Dangerous Band in the World.” Photographer Ian Tilton, shooting for the British magazine Sounds, captured the band backstage at the Starplex Amphitheater in Dallas, Texas, at the height of their madness. The photos come courtesy of Steven Walker’s Modern Rocks Gallery in Austin, Texas. But you can see them right here, exclusively.
