Book Dad a stay at one of these hot new hotels, where he can play golf or tennis, ski, or even head out on a safari. If he's really into golf: these stunning resorts can give him a round with a view. Or, buy Pops tickets to one of these baseball stadiums with incredible amenities—we're talking swimming pools, art galleries, and amuseument-park rides.

Sample the new brews coming out of Denver, which we've dubbed the new beer capital, because they are just that good. Or, plan ahead for Oktoberfest (we rounded up some must-visit beer destinations in Germany and North America). Dads who prefer grapes should check out one of these gorgeous vineyards or head straight to Napa, where we've already mapped out a fun-packed weekend trip.

Your adventurous dad has plenty of choices: send him bungee-jumping from 700 feet in New Zealand, hiking the Narrows in Zion National Park, or trekking past an active volcano in Indonesia. We suggest outfitting him with one of these travel gadgets for his safety (and your own sanity).

Speaking of gadgets, we've found plenty of wacky travel trinkets just as odd as the ostrich pillow pictured here: perfect for your goofball old man. If dad's a little more dapper, consider these stylish totes made for men.

Jet off to a city where the architecture is a main attraction: Renaissance buildings in Florence, Gaudí's art nouveau structures in Barcelona, or art deco beauties in Miami. Bonus points if you stop at one of these beautifully ornate train stations.

Dad can geek out at the Museum of Mathematics in New York, jam out to old ABBA tunes in Stockholm, learn about spies in Berlin, chow down at a pizza museum in Philly, and more.

Foodie dads must eat at Spain's El Celler de Can Roca, which one of our editors dubbed "the next elBulli." If he's into something more low-key, burgers or America's favorite sandwiches will do the trick.

Think outside the beach: take dad to one of these natural swimming holes around the world or across the states. If he'd rather stay indoors, book a stay at a hot new hotel where the pools are reason enough to visit.

Help dad out with an unexpected summer-vacation idea, book him a week at one of the best hotels in the world, or splurge on a stay at a private villa.
