White House: Breitbart Should Consider Firing Bannon

The White House believes pro-Trump digital outlet Breitbart should consider firing Steve Bannon over his disparaging comments about Trump officials published in Michael Wolff’s new bombshell book. Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was reminded during a Thursday press briefing how she called for ESPN to fire anchor Jemele Hill over anti-Trump remarks, and was asked whether it follows that Breitbart should part ways with Bannon. “I certainly think that it’s something they should look at and consider,” she flatly replied. In excerpts from Wolff’s upcoming book, Bannon is quoted as calling Trump Jr. “treasonous” for his June 2016 meeting with a Kremlin-connected lawyer, and saying that President Trump is “not going to make it.”
