Senator Orrin Hatch threw another log on the “Hillary Clinton for Supreme Court” fire: The Utah Republican said, “I heard Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s name today and that would be an interesting person in the mix.” But the White House threw water on it immediately. "The President thinks Secretary Clinton is doing an excellent job as Secretary of State and wants her to remain in that position," said a White House spokesman. Jake Tapper, meanwhile, says that the White House's shortlist includes Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, former Georgia State Supreme Court Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears, Solicitor General Elena Kagan, and federal judges Diane Wood and Merrick Garland.
