One week ago, Air Force Gen. William Shelton interrupted a classified briefing to Pentagon lawmakers to say the Obama administration had pressured him to make his testimony more favorable to a company linked to a prominent Democratic donor. Officials say Shelton’s prepared testimony was leaked in advance to the satellite broadband company, Lightsquared. “There was an attempt to influence the text of the testimony and to engage LightSquared in the process in order to bias his testimony,” said Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH). Now, Republicans are raising questions about whether the Obama administration is interfering in routine government matters which could potentially affect fundraisers. The FBI and House committee are already investigating a federal loan to a now failed solar firm that is linked to an Obama fundraiser.
