William and Harry today helped transact the world’s biggest ever single FX transaction – twenty-five billion euro – as part of a fundraising charity day to mark 9/11.
The annual charity fundraiser was being held at the City of London offices of BGC Partners, who lost 658 employees in the attacks on the World Trade Centre 12 years ago.
But today’s event, starring William and Harry, had a decidedly light-hearted tone as the two brothers teased each other and city traders as they worked the phones.
At one stage, William was heard to remark, “Bloody hell, was that a billion?” and when William spent too long chatting to a female broker, Harry told him, “Stop flirting and get on with it.”
