It looks like a lot of theaters are banking on vampires for the July 4th weekend: Deadline Hollywood reports the third movie in the Twilight trilogy, Eclipse, will be opening in a record 4,416 theaters in North America on Wednesday. The previous record-setter, Iron Man 2, opened in 4,380 venues. Summit plans to screen the film at an undisclosed number of locations at midnight on Wednesday. New Moon, which opened over Thanksgiving weekend, had a record-breaking $26.2 million midnight opening, and Fandango said early ticket sales for Eclipse accounted for 82 percent of all sales Tuesday.
