If Taliban leaders are offered exile out of Afghanistan, will they take it? That's Hamid Karzai's newest plan for peace, according to proposals obtained by The Guardian. Karzai will also call for "deradicalizing" insurgents and creaing manual jobs for former Taliban foot soldiers. The plan will be presented next month at a conference in Afghanistan. What's still unclear is which country might take Taliban fighters into its borders. Saudi Arabia is presumed the likeliest destination. Analysts and diplomats tell the British broadsheet that they are skeptical about the plan's chances for success.
