Friday could be the day that Prince William asks his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton for her hand in marriage. Tina Brown first reported in The Daily Beast that the British royals may have blocked off Friday and Saturday for an impending engagement announcement. The anticipation has picked up steam as Prince William biographer Nicholas Davies said England's most eligible bachelor was waiting until his 28th birthday—June 2. Buckingham Palace has tried to throw water on the rumors. Yet, commerce is not taking any chances. The British supermarket chain Asda is already preparing commemorative crockery.
